Language
Spanish at home, mostly English in the search bar
- 1,799,905people in Miami-Dade speak Spanish at home, 67% of everyone age 5 and over
- 898,816of them speak English less than “very well”, about half
- 13.9%is the share that speaks Spanish at home in the whole country
The census leaves no doubt about the language at home. The searches add a second fact: even for lawyers, the trade with the most Spanish in our chart, about 3 in 4 searches were in English.
Spanish still weighs more here than in the rest of the country. In every trade in the chart, the Spanish share in Miami-Dade runs above the national one, up to seven times higher for plumbers. A Miami business needs both languages on its profile and its site, weighted by its own trade.

Neighborhoods
Some trades get searched by neighborhood, others almost never
Searches a month in Miami-Dade that pair a trade with a neighborhood, such as “plumber hialeah”.
For a restaurant, the neighborhood is part of the search. For a lawyer, almost nobody types one. We name the neighborhoods your trade uses on your profile and your pages. A page of its own goes to an area only when it has searches and facts of its own.
Google’s spam policies list pages aimed at specific cities that funnel visitors to one page as doorway abuse.

Competition
How many businesses you compete with in Miami-Dade
They all compete for the same searches near your customers. On the map, Google weighs distance, relevance and prominence. A business can work on the last two: its profile, its reviews, its listings and its pages.
Establishments with paid employees in 2023. Owners who work alone are not counted, so there are more on the street.
That method works the same in any city, and it has a page of its own.

Technical SEOQuestions
What Miami owners ask about SEO
How much does SEO cost in Miami?
With us, from $1,500.00 a month for one location on the Starter plan, with no setup and month to month. Growth and Pro cost more; we give you their price on the call. Where Florida applies sales tax, it goes on the invoice.
Is SEO worth it for a small business?
It is when people search for what you sell where you sell it. That is why we start from your trade’s searches in Miami-Dade, in both languages, before we propose a plan.
How long does SEO take?
We don’t promise a date. Google has to crawl and index each change, which it says takes from a few days to a few weeks, and the map moves with distance, relevance and prominence. Your monthly report tracks up to 15 searches so you can see it move.
Do I need my website in Spanish?
If your trade has Spanish searches and you can serve those customers in Spanish, yes. In Miami-Dade, the Spanish share ran from 0.5% to 26.4% across the trades in our chart, so the answer depends on yours.
