Inside your site
Technical SEO for pages Google never gets to show.
Technical SEO is the work on the part of your site nobody sees: whether Google can reach each page and keep it in its index, and whether the page loads fast. We find where your pages stop, fix the cause and check that Google picked up the fix.
An animation of three pages of a plumbing company’s site on their way through Google’s three stages: crawl, index and results. The first page goes straight through. The second stops at the crawl with the status Server error (5xx) until someone fixes the hosting error. The third stops at the index with the status URL marked noindex until the tag comes off. At the end, all three reach the results.
Search Console
Six reasons a page stays out of Google
Search Console’s Page indexing report gives every page Google left out a reason. Here are six of them, in Google’s words, with what we do about each one.
Discovered - currently not indexed
What Google saysGoogle found the page but has not crawled it yet. Usually it expected the crawl to overload the site, so it rescheduled it.
What we doWe check how fast your server answers and how many of your own pages link to this one.
Crawled - currently not indexed
What Google saysGoogle read the page and left it out for now. It may come in later, and there is no need to resubmit it.
What we doWe compare it with your indexed pages: thin text, a near copy of another page, or no links pointing to it.
URL marked ‘noindex’
What Google saysA tag on the page asks Google not to index it.
What we doIf the page belongs in Google, we take the tag off and request indexing.
Duplicate without user-selected canonical
What Google saysGoogle sees the page as a copy of another one and picked the other to show.
What we doWe mark the version you want with a canonical tag, or rewrite the page until it stops being a copy.
Server error (5xx)
What Google saysYour server returned an error when Google asked for the page.
What we doWe find the plugin, script or hosting limit behind it. Google reads repeated 500 errors as a sign to crawl more slowly.
Soft 404
What Google saysThe page shows people a “not found” message while the server answers that it exists.
What we doPages that are gone return a real 404, and pages that moved get a 301 redirect to their new address.

Three numbers for how fast a page feels
Google’s Core Web Vitals measure loading, response and stability on real visits, with phones and computers counted apart. A page passes when 75% of visits meet all three targets.
Real-visit numbers come from the Chrome UX Report, which only covers pages and sites with enough visitors. Until yours has them, we work from lab tests and watch the real numbers once they appear.

- Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)2.5 seconds or lessHow long the main content takes to appear
- Interaction to Next Paint (INP)200 milliseconds or lessHow fast the page responds to a tap or a click
- Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)0.1 or lessHow much the page jumps while it loads
English and Spanish
One page in two languages, each found by its own reader
Google works out a page’s language on its own: it does not read it from hreflang or the lang attribute. The hreflang tags tell it which pages are versions of each other. Each version has to list itself and its pair, and Google ignores the tags when two pages don’t point to each other.
A translated page does not count as a duplicate, Google says, as long as its main content is translated. We set up every English and Spanish pair this way, each with its own address and canonical, and English answers for any other language.

Questions
What owners ask about technical SEO
What does technical SEO cover?
Crawling and indexing, site structure and internal links, page speed and Core Web Vitals, and structured data. On a bilingual site it also covers the links between each English page and its Spanish version.
Is technical SEO the same as local SEO?
No. Local SEO works on your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your listings, which decide the map. Technical SEO works inside your website. A business that sells nearby usually needs both.
How long until Google sees a fix?
After a fix we request indexing for the pages that matter. Google says crawling can take from a few days to a few weeks, and a request does not guarantee the page gets in.
Will my Spanish pages count as duplicate content?
No. Google treats translated pages as duplicates only when their main content stays untranslated. We link each pair with hreflang, so Google can show each reader the version in their language.
Do you need access to my Search Console?
Yes, and the property stays in your name. For an audit, read access is enough, which is what Google recommends at that stage.
How much does technical SEO cost?
Starter, from $1,500.00 a month, includes improvements to up to 4 pages a month. Growth adds up to 4 hours of technical fixes a month, with a 3-month minimum; we give you its price on the call.
