Short answer: Meta Business Suite is Meta’s free tool for running your Facebook Page, Instagram account, Threads and WhatsApp from one place. Use it to plan and schedule posts, answer messages and comments in one inbox, read insights and run simple ads; for detailed campaigns, use Ads Manager.

What Meta Business Suite is

Meta Business Suite brings your business accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp into one place. Meta says it’s free on desktop and in its mobile app. It used to be called Facebook Business Suite.

To use it, your business needs a business portfolio: a container that holds your Page, Instagram account and ad account, plus the people with access to them. Our business portfolio guide covers how to create one.

What each part of Business Suite does

Tool What it does Good to know
Home Shows a to-do list and your recent and scheduled content It covers the whole business portfolio
Planner A week or month calendar of posts, stories, reels and ads Filter it by content type and by platform
Create post Publishes or schedules posts on Facebook and Instagram Active times suggests hours from follower activity in the last 7 days
Inbox Messages and comments from Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp Business in one place Automations answer common questions
Insights Views, follows, audience and post results The overview covers the last 28 days
Ads Quick ads and boosted posts Detailed campaigns go in Ads Manager

Business Suite or Ads Manager?

Meta says you can use both at the same time for different tasks. Business Suite is for scheduling posts, stories and reels, answering messages and comments, reading insights on organic and paid content, creating simple ads and scheduling a boosted post.

Ads Manager is for campaigns with several ad sets and ads, custom audience targeting, detailed analytics and ad scheduling. It also runs A/B tests between ad sets or campaigns, retargeting campaigns and Shops ads. Our guides to boosting a post and running Facebook ads cover each path.

How to start using Meta Business Suite

  1. Create a business portfolio and add your Facebook Page, Instagram account and ad account.
  2. Connect your Instagram account to your Page, so both can show together and you can cross-post.
  3. Give each person only the access they need: content permission is enough to create posts.
  4. Open Planner and lay out the month by week, with your posts, stories and reels.
  5. Use Create post, adjust the text for each network and schedule it, with Active times as a guide.
  6. In Inbox, turn on an instant reply, an away message and answers to frequent questions.
  7. Read Insights once a month: the overview covers the last 28 days.

What Meta shows for our own accounts

On November 3, 2026, we read our own Facebook Page through Meta’s API. Our Instagram account, @studiosfeedback, is connected to the Page, so Business Suite can show both together.

In October 2026, Miami time, the Page published 16 posts and the Instagram account another 16. When we read it, nothing was scheduled ahead on the Page. That is what Planner lays out in its calendar: published posts next to scheduled ones.

Before you rely on Business Suite

  • Your Page, Instagram account and ad account sit in one business portfolio.
  • Your Instagram account is connected to your Page.
  • Each person has only the access they need.
  • Next week’s posts are scheduled in Planner.
  • Inbox has an instant reply and an away message turned on.
  • Someone reads Insights at least once a month.

RememberBusiness Suite runs your posts, messages and simple ads in one place. Move to Ads Manager when a campaign needs custom audiences, several ad sets or retargeting.
