Monthly searches across the Houston area for a trade plus “houston”, a trade plus one of 21 suburbs, and a trade plus “near me”.
For a plumber or a salon, the suburb wins almost three to one. For a lawyer, “houston” still leads, and it beats “near me” too.
The suburbs are also where people are arriving. Harris County added 310,966 residents from 2020 to 2025, more than any other county in the country, and the counties around it grew at a faster rate.
